I’m interested in how difficult it will be to replace the internal battery of the remote, once it no longer holds a charge for a reasonable length of time. Yes, this is something we won’t have to deal with for a few years, but on a $500 remote this is an important issue.
It is written in the Kickstarter FAQs as well, there will be possibility to change the Battery:
