So gutted, loved my remote 2.Now it’s completely unusable.Fingers crossed the find a fix for the issue

Check your firmware version just in case.

Please let us know the firmware version your R2 reset to.

It’s reset to version 2.7.0

If I do the reset using volume +~ or factory reset, the remote always defaults to version 2.7.0

OK. I guess that’s not good.

The only thing now is to wait for Markus to come up with a solution.

Here’s hoping, although, how can this be fixed?, there’s no way of getting updates on it?

Yeah. This is one reason why putting the brains in the remote instead of the hub was not a good idea IMHO. Another is increased battery drain on the remote. The hub is powered and has an Ethernet connection.

The only thing I can think of is some kind of Bluetooth hack which could communicate to the remote via the hub or PC and install a fix.

Failing that, a goodwill offer of a free or heavily discounted R3. I’m not sure UC could afford that, though.

This is just me spitballing. I have no insight into the company or Markus’ progress.

I hope that remote 2 users won’t be forgotten, I can’t be the only one, that this has happened to?.It was their beta update that bricked the remote

This is really bad for R2 owners. Thank god I didn’t have the option to upgrade to 2.7.0.

UC should really stop releasing Beta’s as the daily driver.
