Hi. I have added the apple tv integration to my R3. Worked well when you let the software find the network ip and not entering it directly.
Setup finished, but I see nothing like functions or keys. So no way to add them in activities. What am I missing?
You should see one entity for your ATV. Add that to an activity and you will see the available functions when mapping buttons and customising the interface.
I see the appletv in integrations, but nothing in the entites area. There my Hue ones, but unfortunately no apple item.
If you are in the appletv integration did you click on the + near the “configured entities” on the right site? The identified appletv should be there.
If not go to the left site and start setup again.
That was it! Thanks for this helpful hint. Still need a bit time to adjust to this.
One last thing: Still nothing in the action area when I want to use it for a command.
In the + only appears the tv commands I have from the TV integration.
Maybe you have me here a hint too? Sorry, the docu is not helping…
Sounds like you still need to add the entity into the activity. Edit the activity and add the. ATV to the Included entities page on the settings tab.
Exactly. Thanks very much. Very confusing, that I cannot mix different devices in activity commands, like I had in other products. A new apple activity by its own is now the way.
I am not sure I understand your comment. You can have multiple devices in the same activity and assign commands from these to the remote buttons and interface.
You can do it with a macro like in Harmony.

Correct. Thanks all for bringing me up to this. I forgot to add the 2nd entity, so it never showed up. I should remember from the Harmony. Now its clear.
It is confusing without explanations. Also I find the term “entity” very confusing.
If you came from Harmony you had devices, activities and macros. All these are now entities. Macros, activities and devices are special type of entities. If you get used to this then the organization is very similar to a Harmony.

Agree reg Harmony that I also loved.
We will get used fast. But a Quick Start would be helpful as a help document or even better placed.
