I need a screen button that allows me to go to the previous screen in Apple TV. I tried “Back” with the latest AppleTV integration but it doesn’t do anything when I tap it. And “home” doesn’t take me to the screen with all the app icons, it goes to the AppleTV app. My harmony remote “back” and “home” buttons go to the correct places. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Also, it would be nice if I could have number buttons for AppleTV so I can type in the Netflix passwords. Is there a way to do that? There aren’t any number options from the button selection list.
The Home button can be configured within the Apple TV settings (not the remote, but the actual Apple TV). You can choose whether you want it to go to the Home Screen or the Apple TV screen.
If you’re talking about the Apple integration (vs IR), I think the “menu” command is the back button. There is also an option for something like “top_menu” which brings you to the screen with all of the app icons. I have both working in my setup, but I’m traveling right now and so I’m not able to say for sure that those are the right commands, but I can say that there are commands for both of those options you are looking for.
