I’ve been playing with the R3 off and on since I got it about a month ago. Creating, deleting entities, activities and so on, just to get a feel for how it works. I remember at the beginning I created an activity (watch TV) and added it to my main page (Living room). I’ve since deleted it and started over. Now it seems I can’t just replicate this. Somehow I can’t just add an activity, all I can do is either add an entity or a group. Did this change or am I just not doing it right?
EVery activity should be listed in the “Add entities” list, unless it’s already added to that page. Make sure to check if there aren’t more entries available, maybe it’s on the 2nd page of the list.
You are correct, thank you. I didn’t even bother clicking on “add entities” since I assumed it just lists, well, entities and not activities. I shouldn’t just assume things I guess, lol. This remote sure does require “different” thinking than a logitech.
Thanks again.
Logitech was easier but more limites.
If you want to control devices in more than 1 room I would create different pages for each room in “cutomize your remote” and add entities/activities from that room on the corresponding page. Furthermore create an activity group for each room and select the room group in all activities for that room.

Luckily my setup is fairly simple, just one room but a few activities. So I will definitely create an activity group.
I just have 1 activity and always keep it on, with Prevent sleep ON.
This lets me use the remote immediately, as well as send commands via its API anytime.
I still send many commands using the Dock’s API, so they work even if the remote is dead.
Need to charge the remote every day though.
