Hey everyone. I have 2 AC units that are controlled by an RG10L2(D2HS)/BGEFU1 remote (pictured). Before the latest update of Remote3, I managed to learn the code (15;0xB27BE0;24;0) from it for the on/off button, but it never worked to turn on or off the AC units with Remote3 and the IR blasters I have. After the update I did this morning, I decided to try again, and now the docks give me “unknown” when reading the code. Does anyone have a similar remote they managed to make work with remote3? Any direction on how to solve this? (I couldn’t find a pack with the codes for this remote anywhere)
Your problem could be related to the issue on github. In the meantime you might want to try the following:
This is a comment from UC about positioning the original remote when learning commands: „The ir receiver faces upwards, so holding the remote above the dock pointing downwards is the safest way to learn codes.“
Does your AC happen to be a Midea. If yes, there is a code set in the GlobalCache database that might work.
Have you tried to learn the on/off command again and is this still possible. I am wondering if the on/off button uses a different IR format than the other buttons.
Not sure what you mean by trying to learn the on/off command again?
The ir receiver faces upwards, so holding the remote above the dock pointing downwards is the safest way to learn codes.
Yes, the angle doesn’t impact it, still getting the same “Unknown” feedback on each press of the AC remote button.
It’s not, it’s an Elios (Canada), but the manufacturer of the Medea’s remote appears to be the same as the one for mine (albeit different remote models). I tried those codes, but didn’t work either.
