I have a strange issue with learned IR codes (POWER_ON, POWER_OFF, POWER_TOGGLE) for my Denon DBT-3313UD (bluray player). I learned the codes from my Harmony, the POWER_TOGGLE also from the original remote. The issue is, that none of the code switches the player on, but POWER_OFF and POWER_TOGGLE is able to switch it off. Any idea, what the issue could be?
Have you tried to use codes from other databases like Global Cache? Search the forum on how to import them.
I tested it now with the codes from Global Cache. Again POWER_OFF and other commands (e.g. PLAY) are working, but POWER_ON is not working (there is no toggle to test in Global Cache). As said before, switching the player on is possible with the original remote (using the toggle button) and my old Harmony. Using the learned codes with the Remote3 will not switch the player on (the toggle command just switches it off but not on). I have no idea, how this can happen….
Have you tried to press and hold the button or repeatedly press it to turn it on?
I just tried it. Long press does not help, but pressing the button 4 times in a row, switches the player on.
I also recognized, that pressing a button on the Harmony the duration of the IR signal is longer than on the Remote3.
Any idea how to fix the issue or at least have a work around?
This might be caused on how the remote learns new codes and doesn’t check if they need to be repeated to work. But there’s an easy fix: Just change the last digit of the hex format code you learned from 0 to 3. This will automatically repeat the code 3 times.
