Hi all, I’m a newbie here and got my remote working but cannot get the Roku Ultra and Zidoo player media widget working for some reason. Any help would be appreciated. Apple TV workes great and Zidoo worked once but no longer displays any media on the screen. What am I missing? Any tips?

Hey Sir, I don’t think it’s wrong area however I do think it’s the lack of details.
Stating “it doesn’t work, how do I fix” with no other details make it impossible to try and help.
What is your setup, the remote and the firmware
What do you mean by “not working”, what exactly?
Is it you saying while playing content the media player is not showing content? Other then that, is it functional? Meaning commands work, just not media?
Try to provide more information so folks can understand your use case better

My system version is 2.8.4
I’m am using the urc3 remote.
I have an LG tv, Marantz receiver along with a Roku Ultra, Apple TV version 3, Zidoo UHD5000, Panasonic UB9000, AWOL projector, Home Assistant and a few others I have not setup yet.
I am using the built in integrations for Apple TV, Roku, Home Assistant, and Denon/Marantz receivers. I have also added 3rd party integrations for everything else.
When I run the Apple TV it works great in all areas. The Roku and Zidoo will not display the media widget of what is playing but everything else works that I have programmed. I had the Zidoo working but I have tweaked so much it no longer views what is playing on the media widget as well. When I hit the media widget screen on the remote it can pause or say live TV but no display.

And then I hit fix states And then I see this. I have checked Evey setting on the Roku and Zidoo and tried everything I can think of and it does not work. I have programmed many remotes over several years and this one has me stumped. I’ve tried walking away for a few days and going back fresh and still no good so really hop g I can get some feedback. I was intimidated to post on here for help but getting desperate at this point. I love the remote when I’m using Apple TV just need advice for my other issues. Please let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions or need more input from me. Thanks so much in advance!
First, there is absoloutely no reason to feel intimidated - that’s the whole point of online forums.

I personally do not use Roku or Zidoo so i cant replicate sadly but that being said,
lets start from the basics:
on the web configurator create a test page (not an activity) and create a “test” page.
then add to it the ziddo and the roku media players (the one with the music note)
play something on the roku or the zidoo, open the individual media players, do they show an image of currently playing?
If not, can you share a screenshot of the integration driver status, eg:

When I started with the Zidoo it did not work but I hit a Zidoo action button Video player and it displaying the movie I selected for a test in the Media Widget
I am doing this in my phone so sorry my screen captures got mixed up. Hopefully you can make some sense of it. I am thinking the Roku does not show media on the media widget because when I hit the blank screen it pauses my video but does not display an image. I have searched everywhere and anyone who mentions Roku does not get a response from anyone.
Any ideas what could be wrong or did I give you any wrong screen captures that you were looking for?
From a config standpoint everything looks exactly as it should be. what is strange to me is that you say when you press the blank screen it pauses in roku, meaning it is actively playing something. i dont known roku so i cant replicate or tell you for sure, but it could be that it is not showing on every channel or content. your config all look accurate. is it randomly working vs not or always not working?
I would suggest updating the software as there are many improvements in the latest beta firmware for Roku.
However please note that media image and information is displayed only when the app actually supports it. And unfortunately not many do.
Thank you both for responding. I have tried many apps and all of them in the Roku have a blank media screen but all will pause when I tap the media widget screen so it has been consistent. What I find interesting is that all the apps on my Apple TV allow for media image showing on my remote screen but the same apps on the Roku do not. I will try and update to see what I get and cross my fingers.

Do me a favor, curious.
take an explicit time stamp, Play something on the roku that you are 100% confident should show media art. Then go to the remote developer options, logs, drop down, roku, and downlaod the integration logs and then find that time stamp captured earlier, share.

I updated to the Roku beta version and now it shows in the media screen what app I’m watching but no specific app data.
Does this help? Are you wanting the file I downloaded?

Not completely. I do get the App logo on the media widget now but not the exact content I am watching like I get when using the Apple TV. For example, if I go into the Prime Video App I do not see the movie content in the media widget I see the Prime Video logo only. So better than nothing but was hoping for the actual content to show. The time remaining does not seem to work correctly below the logo image Like the Apple TV media widget shows. I’m guessing this update does not include the media widget update to the extent that was done in the Apple TV integration.
This is a limitation of Roku explicitly AFAIK, same with Android TV for an example. PLEX does show, but Prime and Netflix dont. its a DRM legality issue. That is expected behavior. AFAIK i do not own Roku.
You do not know if you own a Roku?
