Lauch an app on Windows HTPC?

Hi. I’m very new to the R3, and a Harmony Elite owner. My first post in this forum.

I have been doing a lot of reading and experimenting, and so far very impressed.

Is there a way to launch specific apps on a Windows (11) based HTPC? Harmony has options to launch “1st Pinned to Taskbar” etc. when connected as BT keyboard.

I have tried various ‘device profiles’ in the BT entity but can’t seem to find anything that would allow me to launch a specific app or run a batch file on the PC.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The remote is basicly a Bluetooth keyboard for the PC. I found this: How to open any program (or app) with a keyboard shortcut in Windows
For pinned apps its Windows+1 etc. in the order in which they appear in the taskbar.
On the remote the Windows key seems to be named LGUI or RGUI. Use the “send command” command (only available when using the entity in activites) and enter LGUI+KEY_1.

Thanks for the reply. I have been looking at this option but can’t see 'Win+1" or “Win+2” etc in the BT keyboard entity key selection drop down list.

I see that all the F keys (1 to 24) are available. So I might try and use PowerToys to remap some of the F keys.

I edited my post above. Search for “send command” after you added the PC to an activity.

Brilliant! Thank you so much. That did the trick.
