We think that we have found the source of the issue on Remote Two that the WiFi controller doesn’t initialize anymore, but are still trying to reproduce it with the 10+ remotes we have for testing.
Things you can try if you don’t have WiFi anymore with 2.7.0:
- Switch the remote off and then on again and see if WiFi comes back. However, there’s only a small chance that this will work. Repeat a few times if required, but more than 10 times likely doesn’t help. Please contact our support if this works for further steps and don’t power off the remote anymore so it stays connected.
- Perform a factory restore at boot up by pressing Vol Up + Vol Down (not factory reset within the UI). This might revert the WiFi issue. Unfortunately this is only a 50% chance that this works, because there is another issue in the factory restore that we’ve discovered recently that it doesn’t properly restore the factory image. The fix hasn’t been rolled out yet… (hello Murphy!)
