I use it to control my HTPC partly at least (the features you asked for are integrated in this, in my opinion), in combination with the tool created by M.a.S.e.

It would be nice to have the features of both combined in _one_ integration and some additional possibilities, e.g. command line parameters as stated before (which is _not_ an edge case, at least for me).

I am very thankful for the huge amount of work of both kennymc\_c and M.a.S.e. to give us such possibilities. It is a great capability extension of the R2/R3.
