I’m trying to figure out how to change the brightness of my lights when an activity is active.
I’m using Home Assistant and the Hue integration.
Right now, I can only set a fixed brightness value on the buttons, but I’d like to change the brightness by percentage instead.
The light entity only supports to set it to a specific brightness (native from 0-255 or in %). Up and down brightness commands are not support at the moment.
If you tap on the top bar of the activity you see the list of included entities and open the light entity from there to get a more advanced light ui.

I created a macro and applied it to a couple buttons. For instance, on my Blu-ray activity, when I press play, the disc plays and lights dim to like 5% or whatever. When I press pause, lights turn up and pause the disc. I’m using lutron lights via home assistant. Just create the macros first and then assign it to whatever buttons you want.
