Disadvantage here will be a little delay as the remote has still to connect before sending a command.

I thought you couldn’t control power with the Integration via ADB? As well as a couple of other things like status.
You can wake up the Stick by sending HOME (like Power on) and let him go to sleep by sending SLEEP (like Power off).
Remeber: This integration doesn’t use ADB.
ok, it now seems to be working, I’m not gonna reboot the rempote in case that was what was causing the problem!
You can reboot. Latest version of my integrations resolved many issues such as reboot survival power commands etc.
If I reboot my remote, the bt settings are lost so it starts notifying me again.
not via BT, i am talking specifically about my FireTV integration, which work off an IP not BT.
