Also do you know roughly how many times youve set up the ATV integration in total. I have found that every time you rerun the ATV integration setup it creates additional copies of the remote within the ATV remotes settings (on the ATV itself). This ended up causing me many challenges with communicating reliably with the ATV. When I found this I deleted all the R3 remotes on the ATV itself and then added the integration once. All then worked perfectly. This may not be your issue but just fyi.
Wow. I never caught this till now. I’ve been having issues off and on mostly with the ATV and never thought to check this. I have 2 airplay entries and 2 companion entries. I’m going to remove them and rerun the integration setup to see if that helps any.
You can’t configure this behaviour in tvOS. The Mac address gets rotated radomly usally after an OS update. In macOS and iOS/iPadOS you can disabled this. Ask Apple why you can’t do this with tvOS.
