Trying to set up a R2 i just bought used, and most things are fine, but when using the cursor pad a single click moves 4-5 steps on the ATV making it useless.
Any ideas how to fix this?
What commands are mapped to the cursor pad? Are you using activities?
I am using activities (can you even use the remote without?)
Mapped commands are up, down, left and right.
In theory you can directly use entities and some people try to use it this way.
I must say I had an Apple TV for a couple of weeks, didn’t like it and gave it away. So from my memory only.
I think the dpad feature always used commands starting with cursor. So take a look if you have cursor_up and so forth.
I think Apple TV had two entities, remote and mediaplayer. I would start your activity and then switch to these 2 entities and check if both have the same problem. If 1 work ok check the mapping of this entity.

Yeah, the issue was the commands, i had them set to swipe up etc, changed to cursor up fixed it completely.
